Getting Started
To begin your trading journey, follow these four simple steps:
Add Polygon Network to MetaMask
First, ensure you have the MetaMask wallet extension installed on your desktop browser. If you don't have it, you can easily download and install it by following the links on their official website. Next, add Polygon as a network in your MetaMask wallet by following these instructions.
Obtain MATIC for Gas Fees
Before trading on Eve Exchange, make sure you have some MATIC tokens to cover gas fees. You can acquire MATIC from various centralised exchanges and then transfer them to your MetaMask wallet. Almost all major exchanges support MATIC.
Connect Your Wallet
Once you have MATIC in your MetaMask wallet and have added Polygon as a network, launch the Eve Exchange DApp on your desktop browser - the interface is NOT optimised for mobile devices.
Click on "Connect wallet" and follow the prompts. During this step, you'll need to add an email address to receive important trade notifications, these are especially useful if you plan to trade Options.
Confirm Actions in MetaMask
MetaMask will prompt you to confirm that you trust the Eve Exchange site. Simply follow the prompts and once complete, you're all set to start trading.

Optimising Polygon RPC: For a smoother experience on Polygon, we suggest using llamarpc.com instead of the standard RPC.
Subscriptions: To trade on Eve Exchange without paying fees (excluding network fees), you need to subscribe. Learn more about subscriptions here.
Supported Tokens: Currently, Eve Exchange supports Polygon native and bridged tokens, including stablecoins. Make sure to use these tokens for trading.
Please note that gas fees on Polygon are separate from trading fees. Gas fees are paid to the Polygon network and are quite low, usually costing just a few cents per transaction. Learn more about fees here.
